Cost of Investment
There are many pros and cons to using your insurance. To process anything with an insurance company they will require a diagnosis. (This is true for an eye doctor, dentist, physician, physical therapist, etc.) When it comes to mental health, many clients need counseling regarding a specific need that is circumstantial to a season of life and/or an event and it is not chronic. If there is a chronic, or lifelong need, then it could be very helpful and cost-effective to see someone in-network to help reduce the expense of care for the duration of need. The diagnosis is required by the insurance company providing payment for the service. Sometimes, certain diagnoses could lead to future related rate increases, career, and public service implications. You do not have to use your insurance if you do not want to. We use a company called, Alma, to facilitate insurance billing. Contact us to check your benefits and learn what you can expect for your co-insurance.
If we are not in-network with your insurance, we will be able to facilitate out-of-network billing or self-pay.
For all clients, we process debit, credit, Flexible Spending Account (FSA) cards and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards. Your card is stored in our EHR, which is HIPAA-compliant and bank-encrypted. A form of payment must be on file to receive services.
